When you download this mostly AI-generated album (available for free and also non-commercially because fair use), not only you would get the whole album, you would also get three hidden bonus tracks (one was generated with MuseNet which another AI model from OpenAI, the second was a different sample generated many months ago with Jukebox, while the last is just text-to-speech generated from CoolSpeech which is NOT artificial intelligence software), a README file, and a stock photo of a robot downloaded from Pixabay.

    Listen at your risk, yo.

about

Once upon a time, I decided to take a little ditty from TMBG's ditty melody "Fingertips" (i.e. "Who's That Standing Out The Window?") and continue it using OpenAI's "Jukebox" AI model. For days, I've been trying to use the AI to generate and upsample the samples (despite the errors and usage limits), and now, under the "They Might Be Artificial Intelligence" moniker, I've handpicked some of the samples I got, and complied them to make an "album" that shall be available for free download, and also for non-commercial purposes with the intention of educating and also furthering research in machine learning, generative music, etc. Therefore, "Beyond Infinity" is done in the way Dadabots intended.

The release of this "album" coincides with the 29th anniversary of the United States release of TMBG's fourth studio album Apollo 18.

"Someone help me! I'm an album description! Let me out of here, please!"

CREDITS:
The primer sample used for this mostly AI-generated album is "Who's That Standing Out The Window?", from the Fingertips Suite as heard in the 1992 album Apollo 18 by They Might Be Giants (John Flansburgh and John Linnell).

Samples and lyrics generated entirely using AI (specifically Jukebox and Keywords To Lyrics).
"Drought (Bonus Track)" generated through MuseNet (which is also an AI model).
"Copyright Disclaimer TIme (Bonus Track)" made through CoolSpeech (which is a text-to-speech software, not artificial intelligence).

Artwork based on the Apollo 18 album cover.
Album title generated via FantasyNameGenerators (www.fantasynamegenerators.com/album-names.php/).

THANKS:
Thanks to Broccaloo (Broccaloo#0266), Xane123 (Xane123#3770), Orvo Boros (Orvo Boros#3751), Puppet Head (Puppet Head#82119), The Hall of Heads (the unofficial official TMBG Discord server).

Special thanks to Dadabots, OpenAI for releasing the Jukebox and MuseNet AI models to the general public, Vitsie (a character created by the self-described idea mechanic Steve Lomas), They Might Be Giants, and you for listening to this AI-generated album.

They Might Be Artificial Intelligence Dingus, Kentucky

"They Might Be Normal-Sized Artificially Intelligent Robots in the Not-Too-Distant Future Long Name Yo" (or "They Might Be Artificial Intelligence") is what happens when someone uses OpenAI's "Jukebox" to extend a ditty taken from TMBG's "Fingertips".

The "albums" from this project are available non-commercially in an effort to educate and advance research in deep learning, generative music, etc.
